Turin, April 11, 2025 – The Autonomous Province of Trento (PAT) has been awarded the First Absolute Prize in the Free Theme category at the XI Edition of the Person and Community Award. The recognition was presented by the Scientific Committee of the event, which is sponsored by the Piedmont Region, the Metropolitan City of Turin, and the City of Turin.
The award honours the C.O.P.E. Project (Capabilities, Opportunities, Places, and Engagement), focused on improving health and social inclusion for NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training).
The award highlights the work of all the COPE consortium, which has dedicated itself to tackling the challenges faced by NEETs. Since its launch in January 2022, the project has delivered innovative and impactful outcomes, paving the way for continued progress in youth social inclusion through to its completion in June 2024. This recognition is a great example of how the project has not only impacted but continues to positively influence communities, demonstrating the lasting value of its efforts in promoting social integration and well-being.
On April 11th 2025, representatives from PAT, APSS (Provincial Health Services Agency), FTC (Fondazione Trentina per l’Inclusione), and Consolida attended the award ceremony in Turin, where they collected the prize in acknowledgement of their shared success.
The COPE project stands as a key example of how cross-border collaboration can bring positive change to vulnerable communities. It also highlights the power of social innovation, including social prescribing, as a means to foster long-term social reintegration and personal growth for young people facing exclusion.
We are proud of this achievement and wish to extend our gratitude to all project partners, stakeholders, and participants whose dedication and hard work made this success possible. Together, we continue to make strides in improving the lives of young people across Europe.
